“A message from God”

Message from God

On this day of your life, Domino, we believe God wants you to know … that all is well.

What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens, all events, past, present, and to come, are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your good?

September 5, 2012

To everyone out there who does not know me personally, my name is Dinelle Ashcraft.  I have been employed with Orion Transcription for 6 years as a subcontractor working from home doing medical transcription.  Bob and I opened the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch in December 2009, and have been self supportive through my income alone to provide for these animals each month.  I have given every ounce of my income to this mission.

Over this past year, medical transcription is very quickly changing over to voice recognition and becoming a dying trade.  because of this, we have lost huge medical groups who no longer need our services because they have switched over to the newest technology, voice recognition, and now compose their medical records in house without the need of an outside service.  This process started years ago, but has rapidly picked up speed most recently as more medical groups are making the switch.  Since January of this year my income has steadily taken a fall losing hundreds of dollars each month that I once used to make almost making it impossible to stay above water.

Today I noticed there were others in my medical pool doing my reports.  I called the owner of the company that I work for with no answer.  I checked my e-mail to find what I suspected, but certainly dreaded to ever see.  Below is the letter I received from my current employer.

To Dinelle Ashcraft

Dinelle –

This is a hard email to write because it means things are bad.  You have always been a dedicated contractor and have provided Orion with your services for years.  With all the loss of work, this is what my (small now) pool of MTs has become – all worth a lot to me and Orion.  However, we have lost so much work, that I cannot keep everyone busy.  I am having to let MTs know that I cannot currently continue to contract with them for their transcription services.  I have done this thus far over the past several months with probably 15-20 MTs.

Unfortunately, now I am having to do it with some that I really, really hate to lose.  At this point, I have to give you a two-week notice on continuing your current contract with Orion.  During the two weeks, you can certainly work as much as you would like, but the work will be pooled with some other MTs.  If you choose not to accept this offer or find work elsewhere in the meantime, please let us know.

I am very sorry to do this, but we have hit hard times and I just don’t know what will ultimately come of it.  All we can do is try to hang on and hope that the other side of all the EMR implementations will be decisions to use regular transcription for some portion of a patient’s note.  If anything changes for us in the future, know I will certainly contact you – if you are still available to work for us.  In the meantime, I would like to recommend to you Allegiant Transcription Services, Professional Dictation Associates, Lee Perfect Transcription, and On-Time Transcription, who are all Emdat transcription companies.  I will certainly provide you with an excellent recommendation.

Regretfully,

Darlene Duerr

As a Christian, I trust that God will provide.  I do know that now I must find sponsors or something very quickly to supplement our income.

If you can help us out with a one-time gift or pledge to sponsor the animals with a monthly donation that would be GREAT.

If you can donate directly to our feed store to help provide feed, this most definitely would be awesome.

Wagon Wheel Feed:  352-799-8002

If you have fundraising ideas that you can pass on to help us raise money, this too would be very beneficial.

If you have items to donate to our store that would help in raising funds for the ranch, please contact me.

If you are a local business and would be willing to do a benefit for our rescue or allow us to set up and give rides to the public at your place of business, please contact us.

If you are an individual who would like to hire the Domino Effect to come out and give horse rides and set up a petting zoo for your special event, please contact us.

If your organization would like to hire us for your fall festival, please contact us.

I will press forward and look to replace my income, either through scheduling us for events to raise money for the ranch or look for employment outside of the ranch.  Please contact us with your ideas.  We are open for your ideas.

Thank you and God Bless you all for your support!!!

PRAISE REPORT #5

Most blessings come in disguise and are not in $$$ dollar signs, but can be just as beneficial.  Bob received a phone call Saturday from a rescue in the panhandle of Florida.  She explained to Bob that she was paying $50…

0 to a transport company to come down to TROT in Tampa, Florida to pick up just 1 paint Thoroughbred.  She told Bob that regardless if she picks up 1 horse or 4 horses it still cost her a $500 trip visit to have these horses transported.  Her question to Bob is if we were overloaded and needed a relief.  She said that they rescue and rehabilitate Thoroughbreds.  Bob told her that he had 3 Thoroughbreds that he could indeed use her help with and this would be a great help in relieving some of the pressure here.

On Monday afternoon, the transport came to the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch and picked up Jack, Jill, and Robyn to join this rescue in the panhandle.

Through networking our pictures back and forth with this other rescue, we have already found placement for Jack & Jill to be re-homed together up there in North Florida through friends of this rescue.  Robyn will also receive the medical attention she needs with the arthritis in her knee.  This rescue will continue to keep us updated on their progress, as they have already done so after their arrival.

Sometimes we pray for those to donate and adoptions to come, so that we can cover our financial obligations here at the ranch.  But sometimes, God works in His way on His timing, but always the precise timing.  We didn’t finish Jack, Jill, and Robyn’s rehabilitation like we would have liked to have done, but God knew we needed a financial relief and time to regroup.  Never doubt the hand of God, as He always knows what is best.  Blessings come in all shapes and form.

And PRAISE REPORT #6:

Over the weekend we raised $170 towards the hay & feed fund.  As a rescue, we have always been in the RED!!!  But it is never about the money, it is about saving the animals, giving the best that we have, and giving back to the community.  God will provide the rest- GUARANTEED!!!  A GREAT BIG THANKS goes out to everyone who has given towards the support of our mission in helping these animals.  Some donations are posted annonymous to the public, but we know and God knows who you are.  God promises his people that He will bless the giver.  Test God with your giving and see for yourself, He has never failed me yet!!!

“It takes ALOT OF LOVE to fill in the cracks of these ribs and round out the body to fill in that topline across their back.    We have OVEREXCEEDED our limits months ago.  We find ourselves in this situation getting deeper and deeper as so many horses need us right now and we cannot close the door …

LET THE PRAISE REPORTS CONTINUE!!!

PRAISE REPORT #4

Last Saturday we kicked off our first fall Domino Effect Adoption Day.  Kimberly, Francine, and Serenity joined us for the day.

NOT ONE SOUL showed up for the Domino Effect Adoption Day, except for our volunteers.  BUT, from the time Bob’s eyes opened that morning until after 11:00 at night his phone rang continuously with people interested in adopting animals, asking questions, checking our FB page out, etc.

As I mentioned, we adopted out both goats, Sonny and Winterfawn to High Octane in Homossassa, Florida. What I failed to also mention is that by Tuesday morning we had confirmation on Spirit and Wild Child’s adoption.  YAYAY!!!

Spirit & Wild Child were adopted to a family in Punta Gorda, Florida.  We couldn’t have asked to place these 2 in a better home.  The wife is an equine veterinarian and the husband is an equine dentist.

We have watched Wild Child grow into his “Big Boy Pants” over the past 1-1/2 years, as he came to us as a yearling.  Spirit came to us in February, was adopted into a good home, but yet still needed to be re-homed with a family who had more time to spend with him.

This couple has received the cream of the crop with these 2 horses, as both are absolutely gorgeous animals.  We will miss them both dearly.  We will post later this evening pictures of their new home and then hope to keep you updated on their progress.

Good Bye my friends.  I will hold my love for them both close to my heart, as these two boys will go down in history here at the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch with “many” memorable moments to remember.

Sunday Bob, Kimberly, and I took out Velvet, Tank, and My Josie for a nice trail ride.  On the way home we passed a couple’s home that we have routinely passed on our way in and out to town.  This day, they had company on their way out and the children asked to pet the horses.  We stopped to talk and Bob got into a deep conversation with the 2 couples.  These 2 couples are pastors and they teach a very special ministry called the Solid Rock Christian Recovery Ministry.  Bob shared his testimony with the couple and they talked back and forth with familiar circumstances that God has delivered them through some extremely tough trials.

Kimberly and I took the horses back home while Bob stayed behind to visit.  When he arrived home, he told us that we had been invited to their home for their Labor Day cookout that they were holding.  Bob told them that he would love to attend, as long as he could bring the breakdown corral with him and his Tennessee Walkers to give the children and the adults horse rides.

We arrived the next day and had an absolutely blessed day.  Bob donated his time from his heart and the pastor in return blessed the animals with a donation to the ranch.  His wife sent us home with a box full of yummies from the day, which will keep us smiling all week long.

We met a lot of great people and had a wonderful time.  We made new friends and will savor these memorable moments through the beautiful photo clips we captured throughout the day.  We look forward to getting to know this couple further and possibly entertaining their group again in the future.  We had an absolutely blessed day.  As you can see in the pictures, the proof is in the pudding.

That’s my beautiful Josie

She says “No kisses daddy”

Velvet is just stunning.

This little one has the cutest facial expression in every picture, such personality!!!

Lots of smiles, never a frowny face on our girls.

He says “Come on girl, lets show them how its done.

Everyone looks stunning on Velvet with their radiating smiles.

This is what the Domino Effect is about, sharing love with the community.

Take a good look at this photo.  The humans are looking at the lady on the other side of the breakdown corral that is taking a picture of them, but Velvet is looking directly at momma because she knows that momma is taking pictures.  ALL of our horses look at the camera as if they are posing for me.  They are the best!!!

Everybody Rides……..

Everyone joined in and had a GREAT time.

Josie whinnying at her Velvet ♥

Bob received a call from a gentleman who was asking if we still had the goats up for adoption. Bob told him yes that we still had both Sonny and Winterfawn available for adoption. The gentleman said great I’d like to adopt them both, can you deliver? Bob asked him where he needed them delivered. The gentleman said that he and his family owned the High Octane in Homossassa, Florida and he was adopting the goats to reside on the back part of their property in a fenced in area with lots of trees, grass, shrubbery, etc. “Goat Paradise”

After speaking with this gentleman, Kimberly mentioned that her boyfriend’s band, Blackwater Jack frequently plays here at the High Octane. As we corresponded back and forth, the High Octane has offered to do a benefit for the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch in October and the Blackwater Jack band will also be there to play that same day to promote our benefit. We will be bringing the horses out for a day of fun to give rides and raise funds for the ranch. We are very excited and thank God to have this opportunity to promote the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch and raise funds for these animals here at the rescue. I thank High Octane and the Blackwater Jack for donating their time in promoting us and assisting us in this fundraiser for the Domino Effect Rescue Ranch. You all are the best and we greatly appreciate your support.

We will keep every updated on the date and time of this event. We invite those who are local to make plans to come out and meet us that day. Bring your bikes, bring the family, bring good spirits, as this will be another great day to remember.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME WEEKEND TOTALLY ORCHESTRATED BY GOD!!!

PRAISE REPORT #1:

Shelby has officially been adopted this weekend to Beth Phillips at New Visions Farm here in Weeki Wachee, Florida.  For those who are not familiar with Shelby,

Shelby is a Kiger Mustang who came to us a few months back wild and untouchable.  Beth took Shelby in just a few weeks back to work with her on a one on one basis.  Since then, Beth has been able to get a halter on Shelby, gave her shots, and has been able to touch and interact with her.  She is making great progress with Shelby and Shelby is being very receptive to her.

As much as Bob loves Shelby and wanted to keep Shelby for his own, he knows that Shelby is in the best possible hands and has been given a great opportunity to have the best and live the best quality of life that she truly deserves.   Shelby is just 5 miles away, so we will visit her frequently and continue to keep everyone updated on her progress.

Thank you Beth for all of the help you have given us and for the work you have done and are doing with Shelby.  Shelby could not have received a better gift than what you are giving her through human touch.  It is never about what we want personally, but truly what is best for these animals.  We would not exist without the help and teamwork that we have received from the community that supports our efforts and lend a helping hand.  It is ALL about the Domino Effect!!

God is Good!!!
